He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Purcell and Adele Purcell; his siblings, Jack, Robert and Mary; his son-in-law Charles W. James; and his granddaughter Sabrina.
He is survived by: his wife Lauralee; and his children, Leslie, Patricia (Bruce), Mary (Tom) and James, Jr. (Shelley). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
