It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Henry Sheets of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Sheets; his wife Ingrid Helmchen; and his siblings, Theodore, Frederick Sheets and Sharon Gerber.

He is survived by: his children, Karin Lowery (Jamie) of Waukegan, Illinois and Michael Sheets (Katrina) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his brother John Sheets (Tammy) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Michaela Sheets, Maygan Sheets, Monika Sheets, Rhianna Lowery, Kyle Sheets, Kaleb Sheets and Karsten Sheets.

Preferred memorials are to Concordia Theological Foundation Inc.
