We bid farewell to James Donald Scheerer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 22, 2024 at the age of 87. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill Scheerer and Ruth Scheerer; his wife Judy; his sister Barbara Hackenburg; his brother-in-law Donald Hackenburg; his great-nephew Brett Beebe; and his pet Spanky.
He is survived by: his children, Sheri Scheerer and Jim Scheerer; his grandchildren, Lauren Zollars (Brandon), Alec Scheerer and Evan Scheerer; and his sibling's children, Susan Bergeman, Beth Hackenburg, Richard Hackenburg and Keith Hackenburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tiffin University, NVFC Volunteer Firefighter, American Cancer Society or NRDC.
