She was predeceased by: her parent Darlene Bermes. She is survived by: her husband Steve Shockney; and her sister Susie Mowan (Bob) of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by children.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
