With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John J. Ackerman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on September 16, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Ackerman and Hazel Ackerman; and his brothers, Eugene Ackerman, Clem Ackerman, Jr. (Hans) and Thomas Ackerman.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Stephen Ackerman (Jennifer) of Lincoln, NE, Timothy Ackerman (Cathy) of Gurnee, IL and Angela Garrett (Jeffrey) of Huntertown, IN; and his sister Janis Getz of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
