He was predeceased by: his mother Naomi Ruth Mundy Knight; his stepfather Lawrence J. Warren; his father John E. Fitzgerald; his grandparents, Nihl Mundy and Gertrude Mundy; and his brother Nihl Allen Warren.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Fitzgerald; his children, Robert Fitzgerald and Jennifer Hicks; his son-in-law Ryan Hicks; his daughter Rebecca Stephens; his sisters, Sharon Dull, Deborah Warren and Lori Templeton; his grandchildren, Justin, Nicholas, Devin, Gabriel, Lilliana and Jadis; his nephew James; and his nieces, Tiffany and Rachelle.
