He was predeceased by: his sister Arlene Kinder; his brothers-in-law, Clarence Kinder, Wayne Norfleet and Vance "Eppie" Battershell; and his son-in-law Mike Rahill.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Kiel (Haggenjos); his children, Mike Kiel (Ruth) of Fort Wayne, Deb Moran of Fort Wayne, Pam McDaniel (Dave) of Fort Wayne, Pat Kiel (Patty) of Fort Wayne, Bob Kiel of Fort Wayne and Jan Rahill of Orlando, FL; and his sisters, Nancy Norfleet of Hudson, FL and Rosie Battershell of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
