We are sad to announce that on January 22, 2024, at the age of 95, Joseph A. Alter of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Alter and Elenora Alter (Schone); his wife Shirley; and his siblings, Albert Alter, Jerome Alter, Frank Alter, Mary Jane Cains, Maxine Gordon and Helen Darling.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Baker (Mark) of Temperance, MI, Susan Young (Tom) of San Marcos, CA and Lois Nern (Cris) of Sedro Woolley, WA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus Council 451, St. Charles Borromeo Church, St. Anne Communities, Alzheimer's Association, Heartland Hospice.
