Julia Ann Bauer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia Ann Bauer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on August 2, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Julia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Julia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her son Greg Bauer; her brother David Ellsworth; and her parents, Francis Ellsworth and Mildred Ellsworth. She is survived by: her husband Marlin "Butch" Bauer; her son Eric Bauer (Amy); and her granddaughters, Scarlett and Eloise Bauer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Covenant United Methodist Church (10001 Coldwater Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Decatur Cemetery (1824 W Monroe St, Decatur, IN 46733).
In lieu of flowers—seriously, please no flowers, she was wildly allergic and felt they belonged in the ground and not in a vase—the family asks that donations be made in Julie's memory to one of the causes she held dear: American Red Cross, Fort Wayne Chapter redcross.org/donate/donation.html.
