He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel A Short and Marjorie M Short (Beck); his son Kerrwin Short; his sisters, LaVonne Carter and Judith Jane Short; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Lee (Pete), Maralyn Barger and Dale Meyer (Carole).
He is survived by: his wife Wyona Short (Meyer); his daughters, Denise Short, Doreen Eastes (Erick) and Sandy Glines (late Phillip); his grandchildren, Darren Glines, Casey Krueger (Cody), Madison Blake (Andrew), Natalie Eastes, Samantha Eastes and Roma Eastes; his sister Joyce Robarge; his siblings-in-law, Bob Carter and Wanda Meyer; and his great grandchild Caleb Krueger.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Northeast Christian Church (4900 Stellhorn Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815).
Memorial donation in Laurel's name may be given to Pacific Garden Mission (1458 S Canal St, Chicago, IL 60607).
