He was predeceased by: his parents, Isador Goebel and Katherine Goebel; his wife Sharon S. Goebel; and his siblings, Wendell Goebel and Margaret Baumgardner.
He is survived by: his children, Staci Gilbert (Andy) of Auburn and Chad Goebel (Andrea) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Gabe, Lexi, Justin, Grace, Lauren and Christopher; his siblings, Ted Goebel of Edgerton, Glen Goebel (Helen Ann) of Edgerton, Albert Goebel (Debbie) of Fort Wayne and Mary Nelson of Edgerton; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Baumgardner of Greenville, Ohio and Marilyn Goebel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
