She is survived by: her husband Willie Lee Walker (Samuel); her children, Glenn Houston of Orlando Florida, Linon Houston Jr. of Merrillville, IN, Bruce Walker of Fort Wayne, IN, DeLois Walker and Vickie Cobbins of Fort Wayne, IN; her siblings, Walter (Theresa), Bruce Kirksey, Katie Kimbrough (Donald) of Birmingham, AL. and Shirley Boykin of Birmingham, AL.; her grandchildren, Nicole of Fort Wayne, IN, LaKisha Houston of Fort Wayne, IN, Roderick of Fort Wayne, IN, DeMarcus Ensley of Fort Wayne, IN, ShanQuetta Hayes of Columbus, OH and Brandon Lee (Morgan) of Atlanta, GA; her children, Vanessa, Linda Houston, Kenneth Brown, Roderick, Larry and Alvin Houston; her brother Danny Kirksey; and her grandchildren, Erika Houston and Lynesha Guthery.
Post retirement, Leona dedicated 13 years as a Foster Grandparent until the Coronavirus pandemic paused the program.
