He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Zimmer and Matilda Zimmer (Bohl); his former wife Peggy Zimmer; and his siblings, Dorothy Vogelsang and William "Bill" Zimmer.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Zimmer; his children, Lester Lee of Franklin, Indiana and Brenda Hathaway (Ted) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Brad Hathaway (Holly), Peggy Weinrich (John) and Chad Hathaway; his stepson David Young (Sharon) of Sunman, IN; and his stepgrandchildren, Brendon Young (Conner) and Alyssa Morehead (Tyler). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; & 1, step-great-grandchild.
