He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Powell and Naomi Powell (Onstott); and his brothers, Charles, Bill, George and Junior.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Powell; his children, Matthew Powell of Washington, D. C. and Sarah Wurster (Steve) of Delaware, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Kaela, Abby and Landon Wurster. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
