She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Nicholson, and Betty Nicholson, Jr. (Holmes); and her sister Deborah Massey. She is survived by: her husband Jay Russ of Fort Wayne; her children, Renee Cox (Dale) of Albion, IN, Fred Ballenger (Darla) of Indianapolis and John "Billy" Ballenger (Lora) of Van Buren; and her siblings, Marcia Gregg of Fort Wayne and Daniel Nicholson of Ossian. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and directed through the funeral home.
