He was predeceased by: his mother Inez Stults; his wife Joann Stults; and his siblings, William Stults, John Stults, Lena Richards, Helen Mossberger, Betty Wooslager and Wilmajean Cox.
He is survived by: his close friend Dorothy Coleman; his daughters, Lisa Meriwether (Tyroy) of Fort Wayne and Laura Dafforn of Fort Wayne; and his grandchildren, Latricia Stults of Fort Wayne, Jacob Dafforn of Van Wert, OH and Katie Dafforn of Hamilton, OH.
