We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2024, at the age of 86, Lyle R. Elser of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Pierson, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Russel Elser and Louise Elser (Pitsenbarger); his son Kevin Elser Sr.; and his sister Lila Harvey. He is survived by : his wife Darlene; his children, Michael Elser and Renae Knoch (James); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Mayers (Jason), Derrick Edwards (Natalie), Kevin Elser, Jr. (Nichole), Kimberly Tremain (Aaron), Adam, Eric, Korey Beber (Adeline), Logan, Tanner and Cheyenne Luffman. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harper's Community Funeral Home (740 IN-930, New Haven, IN 46774). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church (800 Green St, New Haven, IN 46774). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
