She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Mattes and Bernadine Mattes (Hoevel); her husband Raymond Sorg; her son Randall Sorg; and her siblings, Herbert, Luella, Willard, Edna and Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Miller (Mark) and Tim Sorg (Jackie). She is also survived by five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Fort Wayne (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church (11337 US Hwy 27, Fort Wayne, IN 46816).
Memorials may be directed to Saint Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church for Masses to be Celebrated in Marilyn's Memory or Elios Hospice.
