He was predeceased by: his parents, Essix Sheffield and Minnie Graves Sheffield; and his son Martin L. Sheffield, Sr. (Mark). He is survived by: his wife Lizzie M. Sheffield. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
