Mary Alice Newton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2022, at the age of 103, Mary Alice Newton of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Bender Newton; and her daughter Cecelia Newton. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Newton Dennis of Jacksonville and Dr. Mary Pat Veerkamp (Gregory) of Fort Wayne; and her grandsons, Greg Dennis (Lacey), Eric Dennis, Patrick Veerkamp (Jade) and Daniel Veerkamp (Becky Gibbs). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in kher honor may be made to St. Benedict Cathedral, Evansville, the Alzheimer's Association, 701 N. Weinbach Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, or to Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne.
