She was predeceased by: her father Major Sanders Sr. (James Simmons Jr); and her sister Rebecca Sanders. She is survived by: her mother Mary Eliza Sanders; her son Wesley Nelson; her brothers, Lionel Sanders, Major Sanders Jr. and Michael Sanders; her grandchildren, Anasha Nelson, LeeAndrew Nelson and Zavier Jones; and her siblings' children, Delphine Alexander (DeDe), Michael Sanders, Bruce Sanders and Curtis Sanders.
