He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Zahm and Edith Zahm (Miller); his wife Norma Durnell-Zahm; his stepson Donald Durnell; and his siblings, Richard E. Zahm, Eldon Zahm, Edna Zahm and Virginia Zahm.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Pickett of Fort Wayne and David Zahm (Jill) of New Haven; his stepchildren, Jerry Durnell (Candy) and Linda Innis (Chris); his stepdaughter-in-law Linda Durnell of Fort Wayne; and his brother Larry Zahm of Huntington. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
