He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Miller Gatewood Sr. and Pressley Gatewood; his siblings, Barbara Gene Gatewood, Deloris Gatewood, Silas Gatewood and Geoffrey Richard Gatewood Jr.; and his grandsons, Boris D. Thomas Jr. and Brycen D. Cassell-Thomas.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry Gatewood, Frankie Gatewood, Stovall, Robert Gatewood and Grace Gatewood; his son Boris D. Thomas; his grandchildren, Briauna S. Desrosiers and Mikayla M. Thomas; and his great grandchild Katrielle A. Desrosiers.
