He was predeceased by: his father Paul Lengacher; his wife Irene Lengacher (Schmucker); his grandchildren, Melvin Jay Graber, Naomia Rose Graber and Marilyn Kay Graber; his brother Amos Lengacher; and his brother-in-law Aaron Schmucker.

He is survived by: his mother Fannie Lengacher (Witmer); his children, Paul Lengacher (Amy), Joe Lengacher, Mary Graber (Leon), Fannie Miller (Noah), Melvin Lengacher (Susanna), Irene Kauffman (Mervin), Louis Lengacher (Miriam), Suzanna Schwartz (Matthew), Martin Lengacher (Rosemary), Loretta Schwartz (James), Manda Schwartz (Amos) and David Lengacher (JoAnn); his siblings, Barbara Hilty (Joe), Paul Lengacher (Saloma), Fannie Schmucker (Reuben), Lavina Schmucker (Joseph), Simon Lengacher (Leora) and Rosa Schmucker; and his sister-in-law Barbara Lengacher. He is also survived by 49 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
