He was predeceased by: his parents, Lansing Giant and Agnes Giant; his siblings, Ralph L. Giant, Delbert Giant and Birnelle Kerslake; and his brother-in-law Thomas Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Giant of Fort Wayne, IN; his children, Tammy A. Rice (Jeff) of Fort Wayne, IN and Ted J. Giant of Fremont, IN; his sister Mary Ann Jackson of Fort Wayne, IN; his grandchildren, Christopher Rice (Ashley) of Fort Wayne, IN, Cameron Rice of New York and Chandler Rice (Kelli) of Fort Wayne, IN; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Faith and Cooper.
Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, or the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
