He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland A. Ripley and Midge C. Ripley (Davis); his brothers, Charles Ripley (Norma), David Ripley, Roger Ripley (Betty) and John (Thomas Ripley); and his siblings-in-law, Penny Ripley and David Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Ripley of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his son Scott Ripley (Shonda) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Logan Ripley and Ashton Reents (David); his siblings, Enid Roberts of Columbus, Indiana, Marcus Ripley of Decatur, Indiana and Laura Pauline Joray (Marvin) of Wentworth; and his sisters-in-law, Marlene Habegger of Decatur, Sue Ripley of Indianapolis and Arvilla Ripley of Lexington, Kentucky..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home- Decatur (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733).
Preferred memorials can be given to Tunnels to Towers or Honor Flight NE Indiana.
