Michelle Lynn (Frantz) Mitchell Obituary

We announce the death of Michelle Lynn (Frantz) Mitchell (Fort Wayne, Indiana), who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 53. Michelle will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Michelle will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Michelle will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Michelle’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Andrew Schorr (Goldie) and Lucy Frantz (Joseph). She is survived by: her parents, John Frantz and Valerie Frantz (Schorr); and her siblings, John Frantz (Kristyn), Ranee Zeider (John), Elizabeth Eakin and Alex Eakin. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (14623 Bluffton Rd, Yoder, IN 46798). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at the Final Resting St. Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery (14623 Bluffton Rd, Yoder, IN 46798).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Masses in Memory of Michelle Lynn (Frantz) Mitchell.
