He was predeceased by: his parent Orn "Tom" Waddle; and his great-nephew Reid Thomas Waters. He is survived by: his mother Shirley L. Bash (Fewell-Waddle); his stepfather Clayton Bash; his sisters, Mona L. Scheidt (Mark) of Van Wert and Melanie S. Workman (Steve) of Fort Wayne; his siblings' children, Lauren K. Scheidt, Rachael M. Haas (Josh), Ben Scheidt, Jacob A. Scheidt (Caitlin), Nicole E. Waters (Austin), Maria J. Kenans (Grant) and Angelia J. Workman; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexander, Abigail Scheidt, Ezra, Judah, Micah Haas, Rhett, Callum Waters, Milo, Bodie Kenans and Eleanor Scheidt.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Juvenile American Diabetic Association.
