He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Tarr and Helen Tarr (Osborne); his wife Joyce; his siblings, Max Tarr, Marjorie Feathers and Maurice Tarr; and his grandson Clayton Crumley.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie VanMeter (Tim Heim), Scott Tarr (Dennis Greaf), John Tarr (Jennifer) and Brent Tarr (Angelia). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
