It is with sadness that the passing of Paul N. Helmkamp of Fort Wayne, Indiana is shared. Paul, born on April 17, 1935, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Helmkamp and Hilda Helmkamp (Kolhoff); his siblings, Donald, Robert, Gerald, Richard, James and Mary Ley; and his great grandchild Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Brumbaugh; his daughters, Paula Belcher (John) of Wolcottville and Pamela Korba (Greg) of Indianapolis; his sister Joann Alfeld; his sister-in-law Ann Helmkamp; his grandsons, Brandon Belcher (Bethany) of Fleet, England and Corbin Belcher (Tammy) of Roseville, California; and his great grandchildren, Sammy, Coen, Evie, William and Emma.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel (16830 Lima Rd, Huntertown, IN 46748). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (1502 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
