He was predeceased by: his parents, August Meyer and Welma Meyer (Hans); his children, Karen Meyer and Jean Marie Meyer; his sisters, Louise Keller (Raymond) and Dolores (John); his daughter-in-law Tracy Meyer; and his siblings-in-law, Les Larison, Jim Poer, Tom York and Ruth Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Richardson; his children, Beverly Witwer (Keith), Paula Gourley (Dean), Steven Meyer and James Meyer (Christi); his grandchildren, Angela Pender (Patrick), Angel Korte (Chris), Amanda Woollacott (Joseph), Megan Johnson (Joshua), Kelly Egner (Carmon), Kristin Nusbaumer (Greg), Spencer Meyer (Samantha), Alexis Butler, Mallory Katt (Logan) and Brendan Meyer; and his siblings, Mildred Doctor (Marlin), Emil Meyer (Beth), Welma York, Mary Larison and John Meyer (Eunice). He is also survived by 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
