He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alfred Boykin and Mary Francis Wilson; his sister Belinda Jean Boykin; and his uncle James Boykin (Jimmy). He is survived by: his girlfriend Reina Garcia Diaz; and his children, Jamila Boykin, Alicia Nugent Shamika Boykin (Jerry), Natalia Coward (Rashaad) and Tamara Boykin (Giovanni). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
