He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schnelker and Cecilia Schnelker; his son Mathew Schnelker; his daughter-in-law Molly Schnelker; and his parents-in-law, Earl and Pauline Laughlin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Schnelker; and his children, Molly Daugherty (Tim), Meg Ames (Todd) and Mike Schnelker (Kim). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
