He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Sroufe and Velma Daughetry; his daughter Angela Marie Sroufe; his granddaughter Grace Harmony Anderson; and his brothers, Larry and Darrell Sroufe.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Mandy Starks (Jon), Cyndi Anderson (Matt), Jason Sroufe (Stephanie), Matt Sroufe, Joe Sroufe (Haley) and Sam Sroufe (Jordan); and his brothers, Blake and Gaylan Sroufe. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to Doctor's Without Boarders.
