Richard Oberlin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2025, at the age of 95, Richard Oberlin (Fort Wayne, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Oberlin and Mary "Geneva" Oberlin (Hagerty); his wife Ilo Patten-Oberlin; his daughters, Sandra Clark and Linda Taylor; his grandson Joseph Oberlin; and his siblings, Don and Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Oberlin (Dixie) of Fishers, Richard Oberlin Jr. of Fort Wayne, Susan Moran (James) of Fort Wayne and Sharolyn Heffron (Roy) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
