We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Rita Mae Sherwood of Fort Wayne, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin DeWald and Nellie DeWald (Waters); her husband James C. Sherwood; her grandson Roger Hippenhamer; and her brother Michael DeWald.

She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Nix (James), Debbie Stilwell (Donald) and Linda Walker (Dave); and her sister Carol Fairchild. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be directed to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
