He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Gibson and Agatha Gibson (Harbor); and his siblings, Billy "Batman" Gibson, Jim Gibson, Mary Beeler and Becky Gibson.

He is survived by: his wife Annie; his son Matthew Gibson of South Bend, IN; and his siblings, John Gibson (Lisa) of Fort Wayne, IN, Tim Gibson (Matt) of Churubusco, IN, Tom Gibson (Karen) of San Diego, CA and Deb Farmer (Joe) of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Matthew Gibson Van Transportation Fund.
