It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Allen Kaplan (Fort Wayne, Indiana), born in Plymouth, Indiana, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Kaplan; and his children, Kathy Koultourides [George], Linda Shank [Leonard], Deborah Beck [Bradford] and Mark Allen Kaplan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and nine adoring nieces and nephews.

Bob's contributions to the industry were revolutionary, earning him several patents, including one for a groundbreaking burner design to improve efficiency.
