He was predeceased by: his parents, Armella Ryan and Clarence Hanson; his adoptive father Maynard Landis (Dorthy Cox); and his wife Alice Faye Landis. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Batdorf; his grandchildren, Trevor Penisten, Julia Berkey, Hunter Batdorf and Griffen Batdorf; his siblings, Allen Eldridge and Deborah Johnson of Nebraska; and his extended family, Diana Eldridge, Shar Brus Croy-Wilbert, Shirley Little, Jean Sain, Marsha Hart, Karen Hart, Marsha Hout Riley, Edward Hanson and Marian Hanson.
