He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Murphy and Cora Barney (Bailey); his wife Gayle Pechta; his son Sean Murphy; his sister Judy Walters; and his son-in-law Stuart Freimuth.
He is survived by: his daughter Erin Freimuth; his grandchildren, Lindsay Everson (Sankey), Rebecca Sullivan (Connor) and Noah Freimuth; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy and Archer Everson.
