Robert Sanders Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Sanders of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on January 15, 2026 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Tim" Sanders and Louise "Lil Ma" Sanders; and his siblings, Lee Sanders, Freddie Sanders, Ronnie Sanders, William Townsend, Walter Fincher, Louise "Bird" Burnett, Annie "Tot" Sanders and Shirley "Cookie" Walker.
He is survived by: his daughter Yakira Sanders of Las Vegas, NV; his siblings, James Sanders (Tennessee), David Sanders (Paula), William Sanders, Louis Townsend, Loveless Townsend and Peggy Hagler; and his siblings-in-law, Fannie Sanders and Johnny Walker (Donna Carter-Hardy). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 451 East Douglas Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
