He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Tegtmeyer and Anna Tegtmeyer (Oberholtzer); his former wife Nancy Tegtmeyer (Cayot); his sister Margaret Kimmel; his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Miller (Levone Steckbeck) and Donald Wright; and his parents-in-law, Clarance and Mary Cayot.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Johnson (Jeffrey) of New Haven, Michael Tegtmeyer (Jeffrey Clifton) of Indianapolis, Rhonda Bigelow (Jeffrey) of Ossian and Amy Tegtmeyer of Bluffton; his grandchildren, R. Nicholas Richards (Sue), Alicia Frick (JD), Kirsten Fallon (Luke), Brian Bigelow (Toniya), Sarah Christopher (Bannister), Nathan Lechleidner (Elizabeth), Zachary Lechleidner and Emily Lechleidner; his siblings, Phyllis Wright of Florida, Judy Saylor of Fort Wayne and Steve Tegtmeyer (Judi) of Fort Wayne; and his wife Parkinson Disease.
