It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberta Evans (Fort Wayne, Indiana), born in Boligee, Alabama, who passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Shade and Alberta Shade (Cade); her husband Emmett Evans; her daughter Dorothy Jean Barker; her grandson Brandon McGloiry; and her siblings, Leona Byrd, Lucy Todd, Eliza Cotton, Willie D O'Neal and Joe Shade.
She is survived by: her children, Emmett James Evans, Eliza Ann Jackson (Robert) of Fort Wayne, Delia Marie Dean (Gregory) of Cincinnati, OH and Camille McGloiry of Palm Springs, CA.; and her siblings, Rev. Sam Shade Jr., Andrew Shade and Georgia Mack.
