He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight and Margaret. He is survived by: his spouse TJ McCombs; his sister Linda Battiato (Joe); his aunt Janet Koppenhofer; his nephews, Andrew (Laura) and Matthew Battiato (Kelly); his niece Kristen Battiato; and his daughter Stephanie Carr. He is also survived by two grandnieces, and a multitude of friends.

Memorial donations in his honor may be directed to Alcoholics Anonymous or PBS Fort Wayne.
