She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Shammo and Abbie Shammo (Slemmer); her husband Ray; and her siblings, George M. Shammo, Alice Withrich and Leah M. Shammo.
She is survived by: her brother Hiram Shammo; her children, Lowell "Sam" Loomis (Gina), Malinda "Lindy" Eversole (Allen Meredith) and Lori Munding (Charles Lanz); her grandchildren, Brice Eversole (Jessica), Abbie Sutton (Jeff), Dustin Loomis, Ashley Moreland (R. Tyler) and Natalie Meredith (Brandt); and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Sutton, Austin Sutton, Dillon Sutton, Gavin Sutton, Wesley Moreland, Ada Moreland, Ray Meredith, Rory Meredith and Alia Mullen.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Cedar Creek – Fort Wayne Assisted Living or Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Ruth's memory.
