She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Sanders and Maggie Sanders; her husband Elbert Barron; her son Marlowe E. Barron; and her siblings, Walter Love, Willie James, Hank Sanders and Bertha Mae James.

She is survived by: her children, Vanessa, Tamara, Rayshal (Claudia), Bruce (Rhonda), Timothy (Kimberlen) and Brice. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
