It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Lorraine Ries (Fort Wayne, Indiana), who passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Sharon may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sharon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar F. Ries and Evelyn M. Ries (Osborne); her brothers, Eugene R. Ries, Russel J. Ries and Robert E. Ries; and her great-niece Amber DeMille.
She is survived by: her sister Karen DeMille-Kiddon; her nephew John DeMille; her niece Kara Lopez; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kim DeMille, Cody DeMille and Kayla Allen.
