It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherry A. Martin of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Goshen, Indiana, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Sherry departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Sherry. Though Sherry may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rolland L. Johnson and Fern B. Johnson (Metzler); and her husband Gerald Martin. She is survived by: her children, Glen Root (Tammy), Ryan Root (Ann) and Kellye Hoerr (Eric); her brother Sam Johnson (Jill); her stepchildren, Brenda Bulger (Tom) and David Martin (Vickie); and her pet Midget "Midgie". She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
