He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn E. Ott and Elizabeth E. Ott (Darnall); and his grandparents, Forest, Louise Ott (Botts), Russell and Alma Darnall (Minich).

He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Benzinger (Jason) and Toni Ott (Derek Moreno); his grandchildren, Anthony Jones (Emily) and Judith; and his siblings, Stewart Ott, Peggy Schlutz (Carl) of Fort Wayne and Georgia Mann (Gordon) of Auburn, CA. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice or The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
