She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert O. Highfill and Barbara G. Highfill; and her husband James Rupert. She is survived by: her children, David Rupert (Shauna) and Carolyn Rupert; and her grandchildren, Noah Sutton, Malcolm Rupert and Emalyn Rupert.
